In very lovely Palm Beach!

Now we’re on the Atlantic side of the country. Drove from the Pacific to the Atlantic! And, it’s true. The water on this side is a crystal clear turquoise.

And … on the way, found more alligators … and a few of the amazing birds they have here -- courtesy of Meg, Tom & Jupes!

We spent a week in Fort Lauderdale with Carolina’s Twin, Pampa, and her human family, Marshall and John, who have become our dear friends. The close up is Pampa, not Carolina!

Here are some photos of Ft. Lauderdale. Ft. Lauderdale is too busy for me, but it was a nice place.

After having yet another small accident with Maggie, we ventured north to the lovely enclave called Palm Beach where we have been for the past 10 days. I think we have found heaven … again!

We are residing at a luxury ownership RV Resort in West Palm Beach … totally gorgeous. Here’s our new site. The coaches are very, very nice, and each lot is decorated to the max. Hot tubs, bronze statuary, waterfalls galore, palm trees everywhere. We are on Quebec lane. All of our neighbors speak French, much younger than the seniors we’ve encountered in most parks … and boy, do these people have fun – all in French. I spent a month on the French Riviera 20 years ago, and feel that I am back!

I believe we will winter here for 3 months each year, and spend the other 3 months in Sarasota, on the Gulf side of Florida. We are Floridians now for half of the year … and Vagabonds for the rest.

Palm Beach is simply beautiful. And, it offers the history and culture of Old Florida. It presents the ideal mix of the very best of nature’s finest beaches, parks and waterways and the loveliest of new and old architecture, all beautifully set amongst sprawling palms. Palm Beach itself is an island.

Some of the photos are of the gorgeous Breakers Resorts where Carolina and I spent a day and many of the lovely Palm-scaped avenues.

To the north we have many estuaries, miles and miles of beach and always the lush swampy-ness that marks Southern Florida. This is my friend, Jo, and our doggies, at a great eatery in Jupiter, Fla (just north) and our two doggies taking a drive in their Benz!

And … Palm Beach is a highly social place. While Worth Street is the Rodeo Drive of PB, City Center in West Palm is the place to mix. Carolina and I hang out in the huge courtyard which serves Starbucks and many other vendors, enjoying the many fountains, beautiful music and people socializing. It’s a wonderful happening place.

We are here for 3 weeks, then will drive 4 hours north to St. Augustine to spend a month before we start north to Savannah, GA and many parts of the Carolinas.

My dear friend Pedro, a psychiatrist, has started a website http://Idonotknowhowtodate.com if any of you have input about dating. It’s interesting but still in the formation stage. I too am putting up a new site. Will be called myloanmodsolutions.com. I am working on it with my favorite client, Cheryl. It is not up yet.

So … Vagabond life moves on … with much adventure ... and love for those of you we hold near and dear ... even when we are far!
