This is the Royal Coachman RV Resort where we will probably winter next year.
The people here are simply wonderful. Most are seniors and baby boomers, transplanted from some Northern colder climate and joyous to escape from the cold ... and be free of their former habitat. Everyone has a bicycle and a smile. I find myself almost looking forward to my golden years.
There are circus events of all types here, some with big smelly elephants and tigers and some with Cirque de Soleil artistry and sophistication. We’ve done them all. Theatre and cultural events are non-stop and the botanical gardens, aquarium and zoo are world class.
The Ringling Museum ... and me!
We will mosey 1 ½ hours south to spend 2 weeks in Naples, known to be the ritzy spot of Florida and reminiscent of Santa Barbara. We will visit with our Florida pals we met in Sedona, see the Everglades, then off to Fort Lauderdale, then St. Augustine for 6 weeks. We loved Sarasota so much, we cut out the trip to Key West. We’ll catch it next time around.
